Description
1810 Empire Clock Chiseled Bronze France Empire clock on a rectangular base, supported on four flattened spheres, with oblique carving. From the front, on a base that is wider at the bottom with an engraved step, an applique with a woman's head in the middle. Clock mechanism placed in a box with a decoration of a lamb lying at the bottom, a bucket on the roof and a nest with chicks. On the right, a full-fledged figure of a barefoot woman in a dress, with her hair pinned up in a bun, in her hands holding a flower and a wreath. On the left, a wreath on a pole and a basket full of fruit. Enamel clock face with Roman hour numerals. At the bottom, the inscription "Chopin Tibyt in Paris". Spring loaded mechanism with hour and half hour clock system, functional, after watchmaker inspection, original key. Chiseled bronze, France, c.1810
