A very interesting pair of two identical, slightly more than a meter high pedestals made entirely of wood and gilded, in the form of octagonal columns with channeled stems, topped with pseudo heads of stylized acanthus leaves and tops.
An effective and rare form of classicism.
Due to the high stability and solid construction - pedestals are suitable for displaying even very heavy sculptures, busts, etc.
Normal marks / scuffs commensurate with age and use but overall these fabulous columns are in original untouched condition and are extremely heavy and sturdily constructed.
No damage or glue, without any missing or reworked elements.
