Rare in the antique trade very effective and decorative scrivania secretary (with a folding writing table), made in the times and style of Napoleon III, probably on individual order.

Richly decorated with sophisticated brass fittings, metal columns and an unusual marquee in the form of metal inlays.

Particularly noteworthy are the beautiful proportions of the furniture
and extremely eye-catching motifs inlaid with metal, incl. :

1) a laurel wreath under a metal crown
2) a beautiful and complicated central motif with birds decorating the middle floor of this unique piece of furniture,
3) decorative pattern adorning the outside of the writing table.

Secretaries with a folding writing table from the Napoleon III era are a rarity on the market.
Standard secretaries as well as large tables and desks are much more common.
