A unique oil painting on Flatten depicts a flock of hens grazing on a farm.
It was painted by the outstanding French painter of the la Belle Époque Eugène Galien-Laloue (1854-1941).
The painter is listed by auction. His works at world auctions can reach prices as high as several tens of thousands of euros.
His paintings can be seen in many museums. He specialized in painting crowded cities, monuments, as well as landscapes from Normandy and the Seine and Marne.
He signed as many as six types of signatures: "L. Dupuy, Julian, E. Galiana, Lievin, Dumoutier and P. Mattig.
